Peter Handley
Peter is a seasoned expert in international relations and economic security issues, with a distinguished career in the European Commission, Council, and UK Civil Service. At the Commission, he led the development of the EU Critical Raw Materials Act and negotiated strategic partnerships on minerals. He also headed policy coordination for the Energy Union and Circular Economy in the Secretariat General.
Peter advises McKinsey & Company, the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies, the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, and the Paris Peace Forum’s Global Council for Responsible Transition Minerals. Peter is an experienced conference speaker and moderator. Through his consultancy - PHASE32 - he advises clients on sustainability and resilience. Peter studied French and political science at the University of Bristol and public administration at France’s Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA).
