Léa Gobin
Léa Gobin is a Senior Research Associate at EIES. She brings seven years of experience in energy security and strategic and foresight analysis at the French Ministry for Armed Forces. At the Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy (DGRIS), she analysed energy issues and their geopolitical, security and defence implications, producing reports, policy briefs and strategic recommendations for French decision-makers. She coordinated the Observatory for the Security of Energy Flows and Materials and contributed to the French Defence Energy Strategy. More recently, she led the “Global Issues, Defence Industry and Evolving Conflict Dynamics” section. Throughout her career, she gained experience in cross-ministerial coordination and worked with a broad range of stakeholders, including French public institutions, academia, think tanks, and defence actors.
Léa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in Geopolitics and Defence from the French Institute of Geopolitics (IFG), during which she specialised in energy issues.
